Chris Travels to Coach You Abroad

International Golf Coaching at Your Location

If you live outside the UK and want to work with Chris in person, Chris can travel to your country, club or training base. Each bespoke multi-day engagement brings the complete coaching process into your own playing environment.

A Serious Development Engagement

For golfers who need continuity, not another isolated lesson

This service is for an overseas golfer who wants Chris to come to their own location and coach them across several connected days. It is not a training camp or holiday package: it is private coaching delivered where the golfer lives, trains or competes.

Competitive preparation

You want coaching to sit inside a training, tournament or playing block so technical and performance work can be examined in the environment where it must function.

A complex recurring pattern

The problem cannot be understood through one swing or one day because it changes between practice and play, or as speed, pressure, fatigue and consequence rise.

A defined period of development

You want enough continuity to establish a baseline, test an intervention, observe the response and leave with a coherent direction for the next stage.

Suitability is not determined by handicap alone. The essential requirements are a serious purpose, openness to a detailed process and the practical ability to create an appropriate coaching environment for 5–10 days.

The Value of Continuity

See the game, develop the response, then see the game again

A single session can reveal a priority. Several connected days make it possible to watch what happens next: how the player adapts, what transfers, what becomes unstable and what the original diagnosis may have missed.

Establish

Clarify the player’s history, current patterns, goals and performance context before deciding what deserves attention.

Observe

Watch technique, decisions, behaviour and ball flight in practice and—where access permits—during real play.

Develop

Build the smallest useful refinements through targeted tasks rather than trying to overhaul every part of the game.

Revisit

Return to performance conditions, review the response and establish what should continue after the in-person coaching.

Immersive does not mean nonstop hitting. A properly designed full coaching day uses breaks, discussion, observation and review deliberately. The aim is useful learning and representative performance, not exhaustion.

Coaching Built Around the Golfer

What coaching at your location may include

There is no fixed daily template. The final scope is built from the player’s questions, competitive schedule, venue access, available technology and the time needed to work responsibly.

On-course performance observation

Live observation of shot selection, routines, attention, emotional response, movement organisation and the patterns that appear only when score and consequence become real.

Full-swing development

Focused work on strike, face control, ball flight, speed and movement where it is relevant to the player’s actual performance problem.

Short game and putting

Assessment and training across scoring skills, including lie interpretation, club response, strike, pace, perception and decision-making where facilities allow.

Biomechanical assessment

Movement, force and club-delivery analysis where needed and where the appropriate equipment and environment are available. The technology follows the question.

Performance psychology

Work on attention, expectation, pressure, emotional regulation and access to skill, linked directly to what is occurring in technique and play.

Continued development

A structured summary of priorities, training intentions and observable evidence, with optional remote support arranged separately when useful.

The Chris Brook Clarity Method

One golfer, one connected performance system

The coaching is not divided into an unrelated swing programme and mental programme. Movement, state and personal meaning are considered together so the work can follow the real cause rather than the most obvious symptom.

Biomechanics

How the golfer organises movement, produces force and delivers the club is examined without assuming that every individual pattern must be replaced.

Performance Psychology

Attention, emotion, expectation and nervous-system state are considered where they alter decisions, tempo, movement or access to trained skill.

Performance Identity

The meaning attached to score, mistakes, selection and comparison is explored where it shapes behaviour, learning or the response under consequence.

From Enquiry to Delivery

Every international engagement begins with a conversation

International coaching requires more than choosing dates. The venue, access, daily scope and travel arrangements must support the work before a written proposal can be produced.

Initial enquiry

Send the intended country or venue, possible dates, playing context, coaching objectives and any course or practice access already available.

Private consultation

Chris explores the performance need, determines whether travelling to coach the player is appropriate and identifies the practical questions that must be resolved.

Written proposal

The proposed dates, number of coaching days, intended scope, coaching fee, relevant expenses and responsibilities are set out for agreement.

Preparation

Once confirmed, relevant player information can be gathered so the opening day begins with context rather than starting from a blank page.

Clear Before Commitment

Coaching fees, travel and venue costs

There is no universal price because every golfer’s location, duration, access and delivery conditions differ. The proposal separates coaching time from the practical costs of Chris travelling to and working at the player’s location.

Area How it is handled What must be clear
Coaching time Quoted in the written proposal. The number of coaching days, expected daily structure and agreed scope.
Travel and accommodation Scoped separately from the coaching fee. Flights or rail, accommodation, local transport and any necessary travel days.
Course and practice access Confirmed before the coaching proceeds. Permission for coaching, tee times, green fees, range access, short-game areas and putting facilities.
Technology and equipment Selected according to the coaching question and venue. What can travel, what is available locally and whether specialist measurement is genuinely required.
Entry and local requirements Checked during feasibility. Relevant entry, visa, insurance, work-permission or venue requirements for the proposed destination.
No international engagement is confirmed until the practical terms are agreed in writing. This protects the coaching plan, the player’s expectations and both parties’ responsibilities.

If On-Location Coaching Is Not the Right Fit

Two international routes that require less travel

A 5–10 day engagement is deliberately substantial. Golfers who need a shorter starting point can either travel to Chris’s private Dorset studio or begin remotely.

Visit the UK studio

International golfers can arrange focused in-person coaching near Bournemouth, Dorset. A 90-minute initial session is normally recommended, with longer blocks available where appropriate.

Why Work With Chris Brook?

Three decades of investigation brought into your playing environment

Portrait of golf performance coach and author Chris Brook

For more than 30 years, Chris Brook has investigated why golfers can possess knowledge and skill yet lose access to both when pressure, speed, uncertainty or personal consequence rises.

That work connects biomechanics, performance psychology and performance identity through the Chris Brook Clarity Method. International coaching allows those ideas to be applied inside the player’s own training and playing context, where practice behaviour and on-course performance can be observed together.

Chris is the author of Quiet the Mind, Lower the Score and Why Can’t I Just Do It?, and works with serious golfers in the Dorset studio, online and through individually arranged international engagements.

Common Questions

Before you ask Chris to coach at your location

How many days can Chris coach me at my location?

International coaching engagements are normally planned across 5–10 coaching days. Shorter overseas engagements are not offered because the purpose is sustained observation, coaching, application and review rather than a single intensive lesson.

Where can Chris travel to coach me?

Chris considers travelling to coach golfers across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. Every engagement remains subject to travel feasibility, entry requirements, course access, appropriate facilities and confirmed dates.

What should I include in my first enquiry?

Include your preferred country or venue, possible dates, playing level, competitive context, main performance questions and any course or practice-facility access already available. This is enough to begin a useful feasibility conversation.

Are travel, accommodation and facility costs included?

No. The coaching fee covers Chris’s coaching time and expertise. Applicable travel, accommodation, local transport, course access, green fees and facility costs are scoped separately and agreed in writing before the international coaching is confirmed.

Will we work on the golf course or practice ground?

Usually both. On-course observation shows how technique, decisions, attention and emotional response interact in play. Range, short-game and putting sessions are then used where focused practice can answer a specific question.

Will every international coaching engagement include 3D biomechanics?

Not automatically. Biomechanical assessment is included where it is relevant and the necessary equipment and facilities are available. Technology is selected to answer the performance question, not added simply to make the coaching schedule appear more extensive.

Can I continue working with Chris afterwards?

Yes. A clear direction for continued development is established during the engagement, and remote video coaching or follow-up calls can be arranged separately where ongoing support would be useful.

Do I need to be a professional golfer?

No. Suitability is determined more by commitment, purpose and readiness for a serious multi-day process than by status alone. Competitive amateurs, aspiring professionals and highly motivated golfers may all enquire.

Begin with the Practical Questions

Discuss your location, dates and coaching purpose

Send Chris your country or proposed venue, a possible date window, the number of coaching days you are considering and a concise description of what you want to understand or develop through the coaching.
